What is PiRat?
Pirat is a custom image for the Nokia N800 with all the tools that an
InfoSec engineer would expect to find in a computing platform that is
really small.
LOG:
2007-03-25:
I have been playing with this N800 for a week now and starting to get
the hang of it. Today was the day to get down the the
nitty-gritty and see what this little computer was made of.
The first step, get it onto the network and see what is
listening. The good news is, with the N800 picking up a DHCP
address off my local WiFi network (172.16.1.150) and a SUSE 10.1 box on
the same wire running nmap v4.21ALPHA4, I get nothing back from a syn
(-sS) to connection (-sT_command. Even when I over ride the
ping (-P0). Looks like the developers at Nokia score a point
for making this device look invisible (at least from nmap's
perspective).
